Trion Worlds' Defiance is an original, recently released TV show and video game title. The two team up to develop a more entertaining games experience by utilizing episode tie-ins and cross-promotion. It is the ingenious development of television network, Syfy, in hand with game developer, Trion Worlds.
The Defiance video game is a huge multiplayer online (MMO) shooter. Players take up the job of an Ark Hunter, a mercenary essentially, that has to take up arms against extraterrestrial vermin (hellbugs), insane humans, egocentric villains, and other extraterrestrial races to get advanced components for characters in the world.

The title was put on shelves on a little over 2 months ago for the Microsoft Xbox and Playstation video game systems along with the PC. While it hasn’t done very well in comparison to other big video games, it has managed to obtain the attention of nearly a million online players throughout all consoles.
Defiance has rated with mostly so-so reviews since its release. Almost every one of the large review websites gave the title a sixty percent score (or 5.5 to 6 out of 10). This essentially means that the title isn’t bad but it isn’t a spectacular title either.
The TV series has basically received mixed reviews but has maintained decent enough interest on the Syfy network to be renewed for a 2nd season.
